Combining my love for graphic design and photography, I aimed to make a “catalog” of my quarantine items. The catalog reference reminds me of times when people would sit around and order from them, and now we have a lot of time like that. In the images there are a few mundane objects that have brought me joy during this time. Simple things, such as cooking my breakfast in the morning, and reading by my pool makes me realize this quarantine isn’t really all that bad for me. After dinnertime, my family and I gather around the table and play games, most of the time Rummikub. To brighten up the house, my mom likes to buy fresh flowers and put them in little vases spread throughout my home. Exercise and yoga has become a source of happiness for me when I’m not doing schoolwork, which is why I reference my mat. I hope my project can reach others and help them reflect on their day to day mundane items that have impacted them greatly. I know that everyone’s Quarantine Catalog would look a little different.
